Know Your Rights! Community Equal Employment Workshop

As the Lowcountry experiences a large growth in industry, workers must understand their rights in the workplace now more than ever. Join the Race and Social Justice Initiative Saturday, January 28, 2017, for an in-depth discussion with local activists on labor rights, Lowcountry labor history, and grassroots activism. The event will also feature Dan Koon of the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission and Daron Calhoun Sr. of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission who will discuss the state and federal protections in place to ensure fair and equal employment for all. The workshop is free and open to the public.
